If you have tried other lip masks and been left with lips that are still dry, then you will love this.
Like all Bear's Beauty products, this has many uses. Try applying lightly as a lip balm or lip primer, even great for removing matte lipsticks.
If you are in a dry area, have the heat on, or your lips are super dry, please exfoliate lips first with a gentle lip scrub or soft tooth brush. Then, apply a layer the thickness of a dime over your lip area, ideally over a water-based serum or mist (think Hyaluronic Acid or Aloe.) This balm literally helps draw moisture into your lips, but if there is no moisture in the air, you need to apply some first. Let the mask sit for at least 30 minutes or overnight. Tissue off excess, and then apply a thin layer as a balm. I find this is the one balm it is ok to lick your lips with. Make sure to get the corners of your mouth.
Organic Cupuacu Butter draws moisture from the air and helps to plump and smooth lips. This exotic butter is related to Cocoa and nourishes deeply. Try applying over wet lips (weird, I know :) I also find that when I apply this overnight and then lightly as a balm for a week solid, my lips are super soft.
Organic Hemp Seed Oil (Cannabis Sativa = Pressed oil of the industrial hemp plant.) hydrates deeply and provides Omega Fatty Acids 3-6-9 as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-aging.
Candelilla Wax helps to seal in moisture and keep the butters + oils on your lips overnight.
Organic Shea Butter is rich in Vitamin A + Reduces Signs of Aging + leaves a protective layer on the lips to prevent moisture loss.
Organic Marula Oil helps smooth and soften.
Organic Maracuja Oil is rich in Antioxidants and enzymes.

This should come to you as a silky smooth balm, but this soft butter is more than 50% Cupuacu Butter.
So, the nature of this mask is that the cupuacu butter melts into little balls.
This is easily remedied. You can place the jar, tightly sealed, into a glass of hot water.
(I don't use microwaves, but you can also use the microwave for 10 seconds or so.)
Once the lip mask is melted, place the jar in your freezer for an hour.
After an hour, you should have a lovely smooth mask.
Many times, the mask melts during shipping and then cools slowly, this is what causes the grains.
You can also return it, and I can can send you a replacement, but with the random heat, there is no promise it won't melt.
Apply a thick layer over lips before going to bed and wake up with super soft lips.
If lip mask becomes grainy, warm a little on the back of your hand before applying, or let the butter beads melt right on your lips. This happens with temperature variation and will not affect the performance of the lip mask.

Many items are composed of delicate floral waters and botanical oils. Keeping your items in the fridge and away from direct light will greatly extend the life of the product. This is especially true for Hydrosols + Cremes + Cold Creams + Sprays + Butters (in the summer they may become liquid) + Coconut (Coconut becomes liquid at 76 degrees) + Cremes. I use Radish Root Ferment, a widely used natural preservative, but keeping your items cool + away from light will give you more time to use + love them. Oil-based serums should be stored away from direct light and refrigerated if you will not use within 4 months.

It takes 1-3 weeks to make your item, especially in peak ordering times. Once your item is shipped, it arrives within 1-3 days in the US and varying time frames for international orders.
Only Priority mail services come with insurance. If an item is shipped First Class and is stolen or lost, you will be responsible for that loss. It is not my responsibility to pay for goods stolen from your porch. Please pay for Priority shipping if you are at all concerned about items being lost or stolen.
Returns are not accepted. Refunds are not issued. The nature of each product does not allow for it to be returned due to regulatory standards. In the case of damaged items, send a message on Etsy with your order number, name and a photo of the item and the outside of the package. A claim will be filed with the shipping carrier. All products that are damaged will be replaced at my discretion. If there is a quality issue please message in Etsy and each inquiry will be handled. If a package does not arrive as stated in your tracking please send a message and contact your local postmaster. We are not responsible for lost packages.
